About IC Cell
The Internal Committee of Central Institute of Technology Kokrajhar has been constituted
as per the provisions of the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention,
Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013. The committee deals with the complaints of sexual
harassment raised by female student/employee.
What is sexual harassment?
Sexual harassment includes such unwelcome sexually determined behaviour (whether directly or by implication) as:
- 1. Physical contact and advances
- 2. A demand or request for sexual favours
- 3. Sexually coloured remarks
- 4. Showing pornography
- 5. Any other unwelcome physical, verbal or non-verbal conduct of sexual nature
- 1. Do not either feel ashamed or ignore the harassment
- 2. Come forward and give a complain to the IC in the format given below
In case of any complaints based on sexual harassment in CITK, immediately contact (personally or through telephone / e-mail: ic@cit.ac.in ) any of the internal committee members. The complaint and the identity of the complainant will be kept CONFIDENTIAL.
